Essential oils, extracts and aromatic raw materials
Essential oils and aromatic raw materials are at the origin of SACMAR’s history. Since 1947 we have been developing expertise in the selection, trade and processing of materials for the flavour industry and our customers’ applications.
Today we supply crude and rectified essential oils, botanical extracts, distillates and aroma molecules. Alongside our international sourcing network, we provide laboratory analysis, technical support and processing services.

Crude and rectified essential oils
We offer essential oils to be selected according to their aromatic profile, analytical characteristics and intended use.
Our team supports the assessment of raw materials and any rectification needs, matching the required specifications with the available processing options.
Botanical extracts and distillates
We supply extracts and distillates for the development of flavour compositions and finished products.
The choice considers the sensory characteristics of the raw material, the available form and its compatibility with the target formulation.
Aroma molecules
Our offer includes molecules used in flavour formulation, including:

Direct imports and in-depth knowledge of raw materials allow us to complement supply with the search for new references and support in evaluating available alternatives.
Laboratory
Analysis and characterisation of raw materials
SACMAR’s analytical expertise supports the study and control of aromatic raw materials.
Our laboratory is equipped with GC, GC-MS and HPLC instruments to investigate sample characteristics and help verify specifications. Comparing sensory evaluation with instrumental analysis helps guide the choice according to the intended use.
Rectification and contract processing
We make our production expertise available to customers through:
- Rectification and washing of essential oils, to adapt the characteristics of raw materials to the agreed specifications.
- Contract processing, starting from the customer’s raw materials and requirements.
- Production on shared formulas, within projects governed by confidentiality agreements.
Processing methods are defined through a preliminary technical discussion on the characteristics of the material and the required result.
Technical and documentation support
We support customers in evaluating specifications and available documentation, taking into account the application and the target market.
For requests for certified organic, kosher or halal raw materials, our team checks the availability of individual references and their certification.
